Jointly: Universal Fastener for Toolless Assembly and Reassembly
2024
Part of a group which designed and fabricated a universal joint and accompanying table which allows for toolless assembly and disassembly for a design and manufacturing course.
The fasterner design addresses current sustainability issues of flat-pack furniture and is designed for furnishing temporary homes andf spaces.
Responsible for protoyping ideation, 3D modelling and metal fabrication using industrial waterjet and sheet metal bending machines.

Empath-DO: Open-source Augmented Virtuality Simulator
SUTD Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP)
2025
Prototyped a virtual reality application for phone app developers to test accessibility features as empathic lead users. The application, which is built in Unity and uses the Intel Realsene depth camera, creates a virtual environment in a Meta Quest 3 headset mimicking the real world with added sensory impairment filters. Phone app developers can test their mobile apps under impairment conditions to optimise their app for accessibility.

SanitEase: Automatic Hand Sanitiser for Hand Hygiene Compliance
2024
Designed and prototyped an automatic hand sanitiser dispenser to tackle hand hygiene complaince issues in Sengkang General Hospital for a healthcare product design course.
The hand sanitiser is intuitive to use and is incorporated seamlessly into current healthcare worker's routines. The design of using exisiting hand sanitiser bottles also reduces the need for specialised hand sanitiser supplies commonly required by other automatic dispensers, promoting sustainability. The innovation helped increased hand hygiene compliance in High Dependency Wards.
Responsible for prototyping, 3D modelling and fabrication.

Self-refreshing Microfluidic Pixel Display for Underwater usage
2023
Designed and fabricated a self-refreshing pixel display using microfluidic channels for a Fluid Mechanics course. The display was 3D modelled with a grid-like pixel array with connecting microfluidic channels and molded with PDMS in resin printed molds. The display uses an Arduino controlled valve system to alternate fluid and air flows to generate a pattern in the pixel grid, suitable for underwater use.
Responsible for manufacturing of PDMS microfluidic channels after rigorous experimentation of processes under laboratory conditions.

Embrace: Corrective Vest for Slipped Disc Patient's Recovery
2023
Part of an engineering project which developed a wearable vest to aid slipped disc patients in recovery by correcting dangerous postures. The vest automatically detects the wearer's body positions and initiates a corrective pneumatic mechanism powered by an Arduino microcontroller to right the posture.
Responsible for protoyping ideation, fabrication and coding of Arduino microcontroller.

Redesigned Light Projector Case for Optimised Heat Dissipation
2022
Re-engineered a light projector casing for an Energy Systems course which increases heat dissipation and reduces power consumption.
Responsible for designing and modelling the new casing and conducting power systems analysis.

SIA-SUTD 2022 Upcycling Challenge
1st place winner with idea Canine Airlines
2022
Part of a 3 man team which designed and prototyped a line of luxury pet related products using upcycled aircraft materials, including a sewn bag and plush toys. Won the first place in the tertiary category against 5 other teams.
Responsible for 3D modelling and fabrication with fabrics and metal working.
